INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – M. Shahid Kamal, MD, has joined
Franciscan Physician Network Psychiatric
Specialists.
He joins William J. Wiseman, MD; Brock P. Nolan, MD; Teresita
C. Briones-Ramilo MD;
and advanced care providers Dawn M. Copas and Amina K. Clinker. Their offices
are located at 610 E. Southport Road Suite 200, Indianapolis.
Board-certified in general psychiatry, Dr. Kamal has clinical
interests in geriatric psychiatry, drug abuse, anxiety disorders and
psychopharmacology. He is also certified in suboxone treatment for opioid
addictions.
Dr. Kamal most recently served as a full-time psychiatrist
with Valle Vista Health System in Greenwood. He has held similar positions at
Marion (Ind.) General Hospital, the Nebraska Department of Correctional
Services and other medical facilities in Nebraska.
An Indianapolis resident, Dr. Kamal earned a medical degree
from the University of Alexandria (Egypt) and a diploma in family medicine from
the College of Physicians and Surgeons (Pakistan). He completed psychiatric
medicine residency training at the University of Virginia (Roanoke).
