St. Francis RN elected to lead state health care quality organization

Mooresville, Ind. – Linda Ostermeier, director of healthcare quality at St. Francis Hospital-Mooresvillle, was recently elected president of the Indiana Association for Healthcare Quality (InAHQ).

InAHQ is a non-profit organization founded in late 1979 providing professional and educational support to its members statewide.

Ostermeier, a registered nurse and certified professional in healthcare quality, has served in her current position at St. Francis since 2001 and was quality manager until 2007. She has held a variety of roles at St. Francis Hospital-Beech Grove, including infection control, coordinator of nursing standards, labor and delivery and postpartum.

The Brownsburg, Ind. resident also has been employed in variety of roles at Justus Company, Winona Memorial Hospital, Methodist Hospital and Clinical de Seguridad in Spain.

A graduate of the Indiana University School of Nursing, Ostermeier currently is enrolled in the master’s of management program at Indiana Wesleyan University to be completed October in 2008.

Ostermeier has held memberships in several professional organizations, including Executive Women in Healthcare, Indiana Assisted Living Federation of America and National Association of Healthcare Quality.
