St. Francis Medical Group MD joins Neurological Associates


INDIANAPOLIS – Daniel G. Spomar, M.D., a member of St. Francis Medical Group, has established a practice at Neurosurgical Associates at St. Francis.

He will join Anthony Jabre, M.D., and Karsten Fryburg, M.D., whose offices are located at Suite 300, 8051 S. Emerson Ave.

Spomar’s clinical specialities are degenerative spine and general neurosurgery.

He recently completed a neurosurgical residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria where he was chief resident. He also completed a residency in general surgery at that institution.

He conducted extensive research in gamma knife treatment for cluster headaches during his residency.
Spomar, who received his undergraduate degree at Wabash College, earned his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2002, where he received numerous academic honors and conducted other research activities. He also received awards for research-related presentations at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill.
