INDIANAPOLIS –
Melvin L. Garrett has been appointed director of Environmental Services for Franciscan St. Francis Health.
Garrett has been a manager
in that department for five years. He succeeds Margaret Ferry, who recently
announced her retirement after 26 years of service.
Before coming to
Franciscan St. Francis, he was manager of Environmental Services at Ball Memorial Hospital in
Muncie and held similar roles with other industries in Central Indiana.
Board-certified
in hazard control management, Garrett has led and participated in various
hospital-related environmental services training programs.
A
member of the International Executive Housekeeping Association, Garrett is a
veteran of the Indiana National Guard and a resident of Anderson.
