What: Before St. Francis Hospital-Mooresville officially opens its doors to the largest-ever expansion of the hospital campus, it will host a blessing, dedication and ribbon-cutting event for invited guests.
As part of the $42 million expansion, the hospital adds a 34-bed orthopaedic inpatient unit, a 26-bed adult medical-surgical inpatient unit, an eight-bed Intensive Care Unit, six new operating rooms, a new laboratory and an on-site office for Indiana Heart Physicians for expanded cardiac services, all opening to patients April 21. The hospital’s now larger main lobby gallery also offers a new coffee bar and gift shop. In total, the hospital has grown from 258,000 square feet to nearly 400,000 square feet during this expansion.

St. Francis, Johnson Memorial partnership focuses on imaging services
GREENWOOD, Ind. – St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers and Johnson Memorial Hospital, along with Radiology Associates of Indianapolis, have forged a partnership to provide high-quality imaging services to Greenwood and White River Township residents.
The recently established St. Francis-Johnson Memorial Imaging Center partnership was created to meet the growing diagnostic imaging needs in Johnson County and nearby areas with high-quality, clinically advanced care in a convenient and comfortable setting.
Located at 3147 W. Smith Valley Rd., the center offers a full range of radiological services, including computed tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, X-ray and laboratory services.
The center’s diagnostic testing rooms are designed with patient comfort in mind. The Imaging Center is the first in the state to offer ambient technology. When patients enter the CT scan suite, they can select soothing images that are projected on the walls and ceiling – complete with corresponding sounds.
The center is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to noon. Call 317-851-2888 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are also always welcome.
The facility formerly operated under the name of the St. Francis Imaging Center.

St. Francis, Plainfield Chamber open doors for ‘Business After Hours’

PLAINFIELD, Ind. – The St. Francis Occupational Health Center will host health screenings and tours of the medical facility in coordination with the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours program Feb. 28
The event will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the St. Francis Plainfield Health Center, 315 Dan Jones Rd. Door prizes and refreshments also are on tap for visitors.
Chamber members and guests can take advantage of free blood pressure and bone density screenings and experience the stress-reducing benefits of the New Reality Visualization & Relaxation station.
Tours of the facility will give visitors an inside look at a modern physical therapy area, advanced digital mammography technology and other services offered at the medical facility.
The Occupational Health Center provides a wide range of services to the community, including pre-employment and Department of Transportation physicals, drug screening and medical processing and exams for new immigrants.
Opened in 2006, the St. Francis Plainfield Health Center also houses offices for physicians specializing in primary care, obstetrics and gynecology, podiatry, gastroenterology and hepatology. The facility also offers laboratory services.
